5 Things to get Rid off For Happy Life

My Happiness has increased since I have added some things in my life such as by adding more gratitude, starting morning routine for some personal development, some physical activity, but my happiness has equally increased when I have learned to purge certain things from my life. And this is the main theme of this blog.

I really want to share with you, Five different things that you can start to get rid of, to start to attract more.

  1. Things
Let me tell you that these aren't just anythings but rather those things that you really couldn't care for either they serve no purpose in your life or you simply find them no more beautiful. These things mainly include clothes that don't fit you anymore, things that are broken, gifts that you don't like etc etc.. Minimalism is not about deprivation it's about liberation. Hence, learn to give up the things that no longer serve you. This will free up your time and space for the things that really matters.
  1. Draining Relationships
A good relationship is pinnacle to our happiness. By relationship I mean family, friends, lovers, coworkers, acquaintances or anyone who is associated with you. If somebody is draining your life even after you've sat down and talked about how you feel with them, then it might be time to consider letting them go. If no one has told you this before, let me be the first; YOU deserve the relationship that nurtures you to become the better person. If you have to force it; leave it. If it doesn't nurture you; leave it. If the relationship is destructive in anyway; absolutely leave it. Embrace the impermanence of relationship. You should honor that it did serve you at one point in your life but no longer. In a way, this could help you to move on and pay more tribute to the relationships that actually will nourish you.
  1. Negative Mindsets
Letting go of something like negative mindset might make some of you think, it's not just easy. But that...That is exactly the negative mindset I am talking about that we need to get rid of. At one time I used to be somebody who used to have these thoughts all the time. I am not coming from place of judgement but the question really is, How do we shift from having more positive mindset? I feel I could write so much about this thought changing process. For now, let's just cover some basics which is to focus on your WORDS!! The words that you are choosing , the words that you are identifying. Instead of saying I am a pessimistic person, start saying I used to be a pessimistic person. Instead of saying it's too hard, start saying it used to be too hard but it is getting easier each day. Hence re-frame the negative statements as it used to be the case or an attribute that you used to possess. This way it allows you to move on. Remember your attitude wins your altitude.
  1. Unnecessary Stress
This is not something that you purge from your life overnight. It is the thing that you can bring some awareness. Start with making some list to identify the stressors that you are experiencing. Then ask yourself, Are anyone of them unjustified? Sometimes we stress over things just out of habit and not because they need our attention anymore. If you do identify some stressors that require your attention then the question for yourself is, What can you do to reduce some of the burden that you are experiencing? For example, some stressors can be purged by simply putting some boundaries like learning to say "NO" instead of always saying "Yes" even though we feel under pressure. Perhaps making more time for self care and self acceptance can reduce the stress. At the end of the day, a simple review of your perceived life stressors can help you realize just how they can become unnecessary or manageable. Also don't underestimate the value of having a list of gratitude on hand. Not everyday is good but there is usually something good everyday. Reviewing your list of gratitude can help to wash away some of the more minor or unnecessary stress that you might be experiencing.
  1.        Fear of Following your dreams
Our words are powerful so stop calling it a dream and start calling it a plan.  You should drop this perception that things need to be perfect before you begin. Some of us don't follow your dream because we feel we are not "ready" before stepping into that place. There is this wise words of Elizabeth Gilbert which always give me a push to follow up my passion that says and I quote "A plan executed imperfectly now, is better than a plan executed meticulously never". So let those be words of encouragement to you as well. There is no such things as a perfect time. There is only Now! And this time is as perfect as any. It is always scariest just before you begin. If you want that feeling of fear to go away, you just need to get started.

There you have it, five things you can start to get rid of whether it's material, social or psychological that can help you to live more of a fulfilled and happy life.  For me a work-life balance is really important as I have identified to  decrease one of the stress that I have experienced  and Travelling is one of those things that I really enjoy.
